Quake Arena Arcade (formerly named Quake I: Arena for PSP) is a port of Quake I: Arena 0.75 to the PSP. It is a mod of Quake with Q3 weapons, armors and gameplay style.

Based on the q1a 0.75 mod from Electro, the latest release is made using a modified PSP Kurok engine by MDave.

Installation

Place the QAA directory to PSP/GAME/ directory of the Memory Stick.

Replace the EBOOT.PBP for your device (normal or slim).

Controls

Triangle/Cross - Move forward/backward

Square/Circle - Strafe

L - Jump, Respawn

R - Shoot

Up - Pause

Left/Right - Weapon select

Analog - Look

Start - Menu

  • Game renamed to Quake Arena Arcade.
  • New modified PSP Kurok engine by MDave with Infrastructure and Adhoc.
  • New eboot gfx.
  • New hud icons with transparency.

  • Used psp gl quake 1.1 (see PSP_Quake_1_Readme_v_1.0.txt).
  • Changed/fixed some maps (see maps.txt).
  • Some maps was retextured in q3 gothic style by me.
  • Fixed all missed sprites (bubbles).
  • Green armor textures was changed.
  • Bots skill decreased (0-1).
  • Maximum bots now - 3.
  • Changed fraglimit on some levels.
  • Demos was removed.
  • Some small fixes.
  • All levels was tested.

psp q1a 0.75 R2

  • Changed some maps.
  • Added demos. (plays on game start).
  • Changes on controls. (left - prev.weapon, down - showscores, up - pause).
  • Added maps aliases (warp01-29 in console).

psp q1a 0.75 R1-fixed

  • Fixed some missed sprites.

psp q1a 0.75 R1

  • Initial release.
  • Start like original quake one, not like a mode.
  • Some huds and gfx was replaced.
