User guide
How to play
TimeShifter is a 2D game where you control a spherical particle that has the ability to locally stop time around it. The main objective is to reach a designated point as quickly as possible, while navigating through obstacles posed by other moving particles.
Stopping time locally freezes nearby particles, creating a dynamically changing maze. Touching a particle results in losing control of our particle for 3 seconds.
Among the moving particles, there are two types: particles of the same type bounce off each other upon collision, akin to billiard balls. However, particles of different types explode upon contact.
Game modes
TimeShifter offers two modes.
Normal (Free) Mode:
Reach the destination point without time constraints, amidst several enemies who hinder your progress. Enemies are particles with similar properties aiming to impede your journey.
Capture the Flag Mode:
Two teams compete in this mode. Each team defends their flag from the opposing team while attempting to capture the opponent's flag and return it to their own base. Successfully returning the enemy's flag scores a point.
To prevent a player who has stolen the enemy's flag from bringing it back to their base, you simply need to collide with them to make them drop the flag (which then returns to its owner's base). At the end of a set time, the team with the most points wins the game.
