Pocket Paint GBA

Pocket Paint is a simple paint app that runs on a Gameboy Advance made for GBA Jam 2022.

User guide

The game assumes a 128KiB flash save type which is unusual.

if saving/loading doesn't work you may have to manually select that save type in your Emulator/Flash Cart.

Additionally the saving procedure will erase and overwrite the whole save, which may physically shorten the life of real flash chips.

D-Pad - Move cursor

A - Draw the cursor's current color (may be held while moving cursor to draw lines)

B - Set current color to pixel pointed by the cursor

R - Bring up a box to customize the cursor color

Hold L - Hide user interface elements to look at the whole picture

L+Start - Save image to flash memory

L+Select - Load image from flash memory

A+B+Start+Select - Exit to flash cart menu (or otherwise Reset)

Runs on Gameboy Advance emulator such as mGBA

Can also work in a physical flash cart for running on a real Gameboy Advance or NDS.
