This mod was tested with OpenBOR version 3.2397.

Gameplay
The gameplay is meant to simulate a battle scene from either Phantasy Star II or IV.
The difference, however, is that combat is not turn-based, it is real-time action.
Enemies will chase after you to attack you, and you'll be doing likewise. Defeat all enemies to clear a stage.
Game modes
There are 3 different game modes to play. Below is a description of each:
- PSII - Play through stages from Phantasy Star II, using characters from the same game.
- PSIV - Play through stages from Phantasy Star IV, using characters from the same game.
- Cross Generation - Play through stages from various Phantasy Star games, using characters from both II and IV, and guest characters.
This game is also 4 players by default. So, grab a friend or two and jump in.
Characters
There are 21 different characters to choose from, and players can't play as identical characters.
Each have differing power and ability; play around with all of them and find one that fits you.
Controls
This mod uses the attack1 and special buttons.
A description of what each does:
- Attack1 - Main Attack. Weak, but quick.
- Special - Secondary Attack. For the most part, these are just attacks that are flashier and stronger, but take longer to perform.
However, some Secondary Attacks may be weaker than Main Attacks, but have wider range or something of the like. Some characters do not have Secondary Attacks.
Remember to set these controls in Options->Control Options->Setup Player #.
