This software allows remote access to your PSP.

Installation

Requirements

The following is required for this software:

  • PSP (only confirmed on system software version 1.50)
  • Wireless LAN router
  • .NET Framework 2.0

Instructions

Copy the PSP folder to your Memory Stick.

Next, place the win32 folder in a location other than "Internet Temporary Files" on your PC.

On PSP:

  • In your PSP network settings, select the network you can connect to under "Infrastructure Mode" (the top setting).
  • Although it supports DHCP, it can be unstable, so it is recommend using a fixed IP (please refer to your router’s manual).

On PC:

  • Just confirm when you start PSPisAway.exe, the window appears.

User guide

Insert your UMD (compatible with most 1.52 software, but incompatible with software requiring 2.00 or higher like Monster Hunter Portable) into your PSP, and start the "PSP is Away Server."

The server will automatically connect, show the IP, and enter a button-waiting screen.

Then, start PSPisAway.exe, select [File] > [New], and enter the IP displayed on the server, then press the "Connect" button.

If successful, the PSP screen will appear. Press the × button on your PSP (or the corresponding key listed below) to start loading the UMD game.

Controls

Start - V

L - E

R - R

D-Pad - Direction keys

Cross - Z

Square - S

Triangle - D

Known issues

  • The connection is unstable, so the connection often drops (if it lasts for a minute, that’s good).
  • Reconnecting may fail sometimes (in which case, the Windows app will throw an error), so you’ll need to restart all operations.
  • Some games do not recognize key operations or do not load properly (likely due to a busy thread).

Changelog

Preview01

  • "Super" unstable preview version.
