The Heart Rate Monitor program for the PSP was developed after the creator experimented with a commercial heart rate monitor that included a chest transmitter and a watch. By using a coil of copper wire connected to the PSP’s microphone input, it was able to detected the signal from the transmitter.
Building on their previous work Audio Mechanica, the PSP Heart Rate Monitor was created which can display heart rate and related statistics on the screen.
Installation
Copy the program folder "HRM" to the PSP/GAME folder of your PSP.
Note that this program requires a bit of a hardware hack to get it working.

Once the program has launched, be sure your sensor is properly connected, and press the Cross button to begin the session.
Pressing the Cross button again will end the session and reset the workout time display.
Pressing the Circle button will exit the program.
