New Super Mario Bros. 2: Doki Doki Panic!! Edition is the first full New Super Mario Bros. hack released, as well as MarioFanatic64's first New Super Mario Bros. hack. It's a remake of Super Mario Bros. 2.
The hack was originally meant to be made with the original New Super Mario Bros. graphics, but as New Super Mario Bros. Hacking was developing just as this hack was being made, it was a last minute decision to make a tileset re-skin of the game. The result was two versions of the game released simultaneously; the original version with no edited graphics, and the Doki Doki Panic!! Edition that used graphics from the Super Mario All-Stars version of Super Mario Bros. 2.
Five year after it was released, the game was remade into New Super Mario Advance + Take 2 which fixed the graphic problems and improved its level design.
Installation
Requirements:
- The New Super Mario Bros. ROM.
- The NSMB Editor.
The patch is in .nmp format. You have to apply the patch with the NSMB Editor.
- Open the patch with the Editor,
- Click Apply Patch under the Tools tab to generate the patched ROM.
User guide
Once again, Princess Peach is kidnapped by Bowser, and Mario has been called upon to save the day again.

Compatibility
