A cheat plugin compatible with Japanese SJIS. It supports CWCheat's cheat.db.

Features

  • You can use Japanese for game titles and code names in cheat.db.
  • The UI is designed to be similar to CWCheat, so it should be easy for those familiar with CWCheat to use.

Installation

Place the following files in the corresponding directory:

  • ms0:/seplugins/JPCheat/JPCheat.prx
  • ms0:/seplugins/JPCheat/JPCheatPOPS.prx
  • ms0:/seplugins/JPCheat/font.bin
  • ms0:/seplugins/JPCheat/ucs2cp932.bin
  • ms0:/seplugins/JPCheat/cheat.db
  • ms0:/seplugins/JPCheat/cheatpops.db
  • ms0:/seplugins/JPCheat/(Game ID).db

Add the path in game.txt and pops.txt

ms0:/seplugins/JPCheat/JPCheatPOPS.prx 1

User guide

While in the game, press the Note button to pause the game and open the menu.

Basic controls are: Circle for select, Cross for cancel.

Control instructions will be displayed at the bottom of the screen.

If a gameID.db (e.g., XXXX-00000.db, POPS is XXXX_00000.db) file exists, it will be loaded.

An example file, ULJS-00241.db, is included.

Note:

  • Since error checking is incomplete, it may freeze unexpectedly. Please use at your own risk.
  • The maximum number of codes per game is 420, and each code can have a maximum of 30 lines.
  • cheat.db (cheatpops.db, XXXX-00000.db) only supports Shift_JIS.
