Hex is a 2 player board game invented by Piet Hein and John Nash. It is played on a hexagonal grid and can have various board sizes and shapes. The most common board size is 11x11 rhombus, but other popular dimensions include 13x13 and 19x19. John Nash advocated 14x14 as the optimal size for the game. Hex has its roots in the older game of Go and requires strategy, planning and skill to win.
