AnotherWorld DS is a port of a action adventure game AnotherWorld, based on the New RAW engine, which is a re-implementation of the engine used in the game Another World.
This game, released under the name Out Of This World in non-European countries, was written by Eric Chahi at the beginning of the '90s. More information can be found here.
Features
- Most things expected from New RAW engine.
Installation
Note: You will need the original datafile files from the English version of Out Of this World, it requires BANK* and MEMLIST.BIN.
To install, DLDI patch .nds file and copy it to the root directory of the card.
To start the game, create a directory at the root of your card named RAW.
Put the game's datafiles in the directory named RAW, then run antoherworld.nds.
User guide
The game is an interactive adventure taking place in several phases in which you must find a solution to move forward.
If you take a wrong step, the game is restarted at the start of the current phase. There is neither life nor continuous, simply phases of the game to be successful regardless of the number of attempts.
A game phase is made up of one to ten juxtaposed fixed scenes (there is no scrolling), and it also happens that some of these scenes are shared by several game phases.
The game is fairly short and can be finished in less than forty minutes.
