PACO (Spanish) is an emulator of the game La abadía del crimen (The Abbey of Crime) in its Amstrad CPC 6128 version, one of the best games in 8-bit history.

With graphics by Juan Delcán and programmed by Paco Menendez, former member of the group Made in Spain and Ópera Soft. The emulator is a tribute to Paco Menendez who passed away in 1999.

User guide

This game is an adventure game with isometric graphics. It is about a Franciscan friar, William of Occam (William of Baskerville in the book) and his young novice Adso have to discover the perpetrator of a series of murders in a medieval Italian abbey.

Controls

Left/Right - Rotate left/right

Up - Advance

A/Down - Control Adzo

B - Drop Items, Start

L - S/Q

R - N/R

Start+R - Save in RAM (f1+shift)

Start+L - Load from RAM (f1+control)

Select - Show/Hide panel

Compatibility

The emulator has been programmed in assembly (ARM) and optimized to run on actual console and emulators.
