ShallowSea-Toolbox is a project by carcaschoi, forked from Sigpatch-Updater Switch. The project is a toolbox for ShallowSea Switch, a custom firmware package for the Nintendo Switch with Atmosphere.

The main features of ShallowSea-Toolbox are:

• It allows users to update the CFW package, the ShallowSea English extra package and the app itself from the Nintendo Switch.
• It downloads the files from ShallowSea-ams and extracts them to the ‘updating’ folder. Then it requires a manual reboot to launch tegraexplorer and finish the update process.
• It provides an option to reboot the console from the app.

The project is still in development and is not stable or complete. Some of the current limitations and challenges are:

• It does not extract zip files faster, as it uses nx-shell code.
• It does not get tags or compare versions of the files.
• It does not disable sleep mode while updating.

Options

Currently it has the option to:

1. Update CFW Package - Download file from ShallowSea-ams and extract to the 'updating' folder. Then manual reboot switch will autolaunch tegraexplorer to finish update process
2. Update ShallowSea English extra package
3. Update the app itself
4. Reboot console

Todo:

• extract zip faster. (nx-shell)
• get tags (compare)
• Disable sleep?
