TruPhoto is intended to eventually be able to completely replace the built-in photo viewer. At this point, the only feature it doesn't have that the official one does is setting a wallpaper). It is built around the idea that photo viewing and manipulation should be intuitive and realistic.
It was a contest entry for the PSPUpdates Summer Homebrew Contest.
User guide
Use the on-screen pointer (which will also be compatible with the touchscreen once available) to grab and drag your photos around the screen.
The pointer is controlled by the analog stick and grip is controlled by cross. You can zoom in (circle) and out (triangle) and straighten (square) your photos.
Menu bar
There are various icons on the dock. Here's what they do:
- HOME - Click to return to your default album.
- VIEW - Drag a photo to focus on it. Dragging an album will open that album.
- INFO - Drag a photo here to view its information.
- HIDE - Drag any item here to hide it in the box. Click the box to restore hidden items.
- HELP: Click to get a quick refresher on the controls.
Adding photos/albums
Each folder within the ms0:/PICTURE/ directory is treated as an album.
All PNG and JPG photos within your albums are automatically loaded when you launch TruPhoto.
Customizing the background
To change the default blue table background to your own photo:
- Add your PNG photo to the TruPhoto folder.
- Name the photo "bg.png".
