PS4Profile is a Windows PC program designed to make changing your PlayStation 4 online ID fast and easy.
As an interesting alternative to the popular Apollo Save Tool, PS4Profile has garnered attention for its ability to generate the online.json file, which contains all the necessary information related to a user’s online ID.
One of the key attractions of PS4Profile is its simplicity. Once your PlayStation 4 account is activated, you can use the program on your PC to update your online ID quickly and intuitively.
PS4Profile also offers a cost-effective solution. While PlayStation 4 typically charges for online ID changes after the first free change (with subsequent changes costing €9.99), using this program incurs no additional fees.
Once you've customized your Online ID, including fields like FirstName, LastName, and AvatarUrl, you will need to save the changes in the online.json file and follow a few simple steps to complete the process. Here's a quick guide:
How to Change Your Online ID Using PS4Profile:
- Save the online.json File
After updating your online ID, click the "Save json" button to save the modified online.json file.
- Retrieve Your Console's IP Address and Port
Access your PlayStation 4's network settings to find the correct IP address and port number. Enter these details into the corresponding fields within the PS4Profile program.
- Open an FTP Connection
After entering the IP and port, click the "Open FTP" button to establish a connection with your PlayStation 4 console. This will give you access to the console’s file system via FTP.
- Transfer the online.json File
Once connected, navigate to the appropriate folder where the online.json file is stored on your PlayStation 4. If there’s an existing online.json file, delete it. Then, drag and drop your newly saved online.json file into the desired folder.
- Complete the Process
After the file transfer is complete, close the FTP connection or log out of your PlayStation 4 console.
Additional Features:
Within the program, you can also easily copy and paste PlayStation, PSN, and PSP symbols, stars, and icons using special characters or Unicode.
