MUX is a simple application that allows you to have multiple UPDATE folders on your PSP. This way, you can prepare your Memory Stick with everything you need: the Despertar del Cementerio, an update to a higher custom firmware, the Addon Kernel, etc.
Installation
Install:
- Copy MUX21 folder to ms0:/PSP/GAME/.
Uninstall:
- Delete ms0:/PSP/GAME/MUX21/.
- Copy ms0:/UPDATE_BACKUP to ms0:/PSP/GAME/UPDATE/.

How to use
When you start MUX 2.1 for the first time, it will create 9 folders inside PSP/GAME/MUX21/, named UPDATE_X.
These folders are where you can place your update files.
Start MUX 2.1, and press Circle to label the UPDATE_X folders. (Make sure you remember what’s inside each folder.)
Press Cross to activate UPDATE_X as UPDATE. This means the content of UPDATE_X will be copied to the main UPDATE folder (ms0:/PSP/GAME/MUX21/UPDATE), which can be used to update your PSP.
Press Square to activate UPDATE_X as GAME. This copies the content of UPDATE_X to a folder called UPDATE_APP. This is for updates that need a different folder name, like the 3.80 M33 1.5 Kernel AddOn.
After activating an UPDATE, you can return to XMB and start the UPDATE normal.
Notes
When you first run MUX 2.1:
- If MUX 2.0 was already used, MUX 2.1 will look for MUX 2.0 folders. If found, it will move the contents to the new folders and delete the old MUX 2.0 files.
- If no MUX 2.0 found, MUX 2.1 will create the new folders and back up your old UPDATE folders to ms0:/UPDATE_BACKUP.
Controls
General:
D-Pad Up/Down - Move the cursor up/down
Cross - Set the selected folder as UPDATE
Square - Set the selected folder as GAME (for updates like the Addon Kernel)
Circle - Label the folder
Labeling a folder:
D-Pad - Move the cursor
Cross - Add the selected letter
Circle - Confirm
Triangle - Reset
Square - Delete letter
R - Shift (switch between uppercase/lowercase/symbols)
