Laboko (らぼこ) is a PSP homebrew for modifying save data. It was featured in the Japanese magazine Game Labo March 2006 issue.

Note: The homebrew is a work in progress. Use at your own risk.

User guide

Menu options

Top Menu:

  • Launch UMD - Starts a game from the UMD.
  • Save Data Tool - Displays the menu for save data modification functions.
  • USB Mode - Functions the same as the PSP's USB connection feature.
  • Exit - Exits Laboko and returns to the XMB.

Save Data Tool:

  • Apply Code - Displays the menu for applying cheat codes.
  • Backup - Back up and restore save data.
  • Dump Decrypted Data - Lets you view or modify decrypted data on the PSP.
  • Decrypt File - Decrypts save data and saves it to ms0:/SaveDataAddress.bin.
  • Encrypt File - Encrypts a decrypted file and saves it as a save data file.

Apply Code:

  • Select from List - Choose a code from the list of saved cheat codes.
  • New Code - Enter a new code to save and select it.
  • Save and Exit - Applies the selected code and displays the changes.
  • Discard and Exit - Does not apply the selected code and returns to the TOP menu.

Basic usage

  • Launch Laboko on your PSP.
  • Select the Save Data Tool and choose the save data you want to work with.
  • Select Decrypt File, it will create a decrypted version of the selected save data file in the root directory of your Memory Stick.
  • Exit Raboko and connect your PSP via USB. Edit the decrypted file.
  • Restart Raboko. Select the Save Data Tool again and choose the file you just edited.
  • Select "Encrypt File."

Confirmed to work with 3.10OE-A.

  • It should be compatible with Custom Firmware 3.10OE-A… maybe? It might also support Monster Hunter Portable 2.
  • Note: Raboko does not support the official system software version 3.10 (Firmware 3.10).
