Combat Advance is a fast pace arcade style side scrolling shooter.

User guide

The goal is to try and kill as many of the carriers as possible. Your current results are shown in the pause menu and your final results are shown when you die.

Game tips:

  • Primary weapon will replenish itself automatically when you stop firing.
  • If you run out of bullets, then you need to wait for it to reload.
  • Boost will also replenish itself when not in use.
  • You can turn around in the air without double tapping.

Controls

Tap D-Pad twice - Turn around (Left or Right)

Up - Aim up

Down - Crouch

R - Primary weapon (hold for autofire)

A - Secondary weapon

B - Boost (into the air)

  • found some fitting tunes on modarchive.com.
  • added in a start sequence - but left out the best part since the graphics came from a large development firm, too bad looks really cool.

  • Put more flood on screen, more flugs on screen.
  • Improved death sequence of the flood.
  • minor other things fixed.

  • Fixed a bug in .40 where the flug will just appear on top of you sometimes when you kill a flood.
  • Also, made it tougher once you kill more than 10, 12, 14...etc flood.

  • expanded map to make 2nd and 3rd level platforms bigger.
  • added onscreen arrow indicators to find the location of the bigger enemies.

  • Added in one type of enemy - they will just keep coming - if you don't see any for awhile, turn around and go the other way.
