Giddy 3: Somewhat Xbox Edition is a Xbox port of Giddy 3: Reasonably Special Edition, a retro game made by Phil Ruston and Re-written by Pete Gordon in C/OpenGL.
Giddy 3 is fun and quirky platform puzzle game, full of 80's/90's pop culture references. The game contains 5 levels, and there is no save system. It is like a metroidvania in that you are backtracking the levels and getting items to access new areas, but without the shooting/whipping you would expect.
User guide
August, space year 2011, we find the world in the grip of apathy as an armada of alien spaceships hovers above Earth’s capital cites.
Apathy? Yes indeed. You see, such invasions had become a regular thing around Friday tea times, and as the aliens were only two inches tall, they didn’t pose much of a threat.
Fortunately for this story, this time things were different. From these UFO’s came deadly robot stompers armed with dark glasses, a general bad attitude and wibble-wave ray guns.
The world was caught on the hop. Only one man could save the day, but that man was busy ironing his pants. So instead, Giddy, the egg-shaped superhero decided to have a go.

Changelog
Update 1.1
- Now runs at ~60FPS. Removed responsibility for regulating FPS from SDL_Timer as it was doing a horrible job keeping it steady, or anywhere near 60FPS.
- Adjusted render speed of fading so GPU is not bogged down when transitioning screens.
- Fixed bounding box on several sprites as some of the outer borders in the sprite sheets were rendering causing a line above or below the sprite.
