MindCraft is a remake of the sandbox game Minecraft in 2D developed by Perli55.

It is featured at the PSP Genesis Competition 2011.

User guide

The game allows you to create your own world with endless possibilities.

You can craft objects, potions and build all kinds of constructions by gathering various materials; or adventuring through the unknown and fight against monsters in the Adventure Mode.

Craft list

Main objects
Logs to wood Wood is required to make any wooden object.
Wood to sticks Another essential object.
Stone to cobblestone This makes stone usable.
Workbench With this you can make objects that require the 3x3 crafting grid.
Chest Stores 27 sets of items in it.
Trapdoor Was meant to be used as a platform that opens when you step on it.
Door Works like a trapdoor, but is 1x2 blocks in the world.
Furnace Requires 1 log or 1 coal to smelt an object (Tips: 1 log can be turned into 2 coals).
Torch Remember to never let it get dark while underground.

Tools
Stone tools Destroys 30 blocks before it breaks with 50% speed boost.
Iron tools Destroys 100 blocks before it breaks with 66% speed boost.
Aluminium tools Destroys 150 blocks before it breaks with 73% speed boost.
Amazonite tools Destroys 180 blocks before it breaks with 84% speed boost.
Diamond tools Destroys 270 blocks before it breaks with 90% speed boost.
Weapons (swords)
None Deals 9 damage to NPCs.
Stone sword Deals 24 damage and lasts for 15 kills.
Iron sword Deals 48 damage and lasts for 35 kills.
Aluminium sword Deals 64 damage and lasts for 50 kills.
Amazonite sword Deals 85 damage and lasts for 70 kills.

Controls

Left - Go to the left

Right - Go to the right

Up - Jump

Triangle - Look up

Cross - Look down

Circle - Next block in inventory

Square - Previous block in inventory

L - Place Block

R - Remove Block

Start - Pause

Select - Inventory, Use

Analog - Camera movement

Known issues

If your having FPS drops or issues, try turning off your plugins.

If the game crashes and says "Press start to restart", then you must exit to the XMB and then load the game again.

You can use the patch provided by the developer if you get the memory error.

Changelog

Rev 9

  • Fixed the bug that you couldn't save with a ghost spawner in your map.
  • Loading bar when you open game.
  • "Not enaugh memory" error while saving fixed and the time it takes to save is reduced for large saves.
  • Added difficulty option, "Simple" means no ghosts ,"Good" means ghosts only spawn in the dark and underground, "Badass" means they can spawn in light aswell, but chances are really small and they're weaker.
  • Added health potion that makes you invincible for 10 seconds.

  • Fixed the "not enough memory" error that some had by using replacing the largest images with smaller ones.

  • Fixed the bug that doesn't add an object to your inventory when you pick it up.
  • TNT is craftable.
  • Fixes the bug that when a chest is broken, it drops odd stuff.

  • Ghost Spawners.
  • Ghosts Drop 1-7 cloud blocks and theres a 8 percent chance to get a gold bar.
  • Mushroom Stew (can heal you).
  • Object's health and tool's power reorganized.

Rev 5

  • Ghosts ,can be killed by pressing R (being underground in the dark is is very dangerous).
  • Sponge.
  • Bucket that can be filled with water.
  • Fruit that can drop when you break leaves and that heal you by pressing L (apple,orange,banana), but currently they only drop if the trunk exists.
  • Walking on a cactus hurts.
  • When tools break is not random anymore.
  • Light system (it's dark underground, use a torch to lit it up).
  • Health.

  • Adventure Mode.
  • Items drop.
  • Inventory.
  • Terrains.
  • Items: chest,workbench,furnace,portals,tools,ores,vines.
  • Treasure room's generation (hidden rooms with treausre in them).

  • Camera view distance is limited.

  • Function system (that was the hardest part, but now functions can be added with ease).
  • Water (flowing and you are able to swim in it).

  • Falling sand and gravel.
  • Caves generation is improved.
  • A nicer and better selection of blocks to mess around with.
