User guide The game takes place in a universe threatened by SquareMaster. Composed of nanomachines, this war machine has gained its independence and threatens all living beings. For this, it continuously manufactures several ships, which it sends to the four corners of the universe.
You have just been drafted into the Square Force, a group of mercenaries fighting against the SquareMaster. In order to counter the onslaught, you will have to create our own ship ourselves using a 3x3 grid.
You can decide where to put components like shields, reactors, and guns and how many of them to include. They will determine the ship's appearance, performance and weight. Once the creation is complete, you can use it to attack the SquareMaster pawns.
In the demo version you are able to create ships and destroy enemies.
Controls Analog - Change the direction of your ship Cross - Accelerate Square/Circle - Dash right/left D-Pad Left/Right - Turn left/right Triangle - Stop engines (any movement will restart engines) L-Trigger - (hold) Target an enemy R-Trigger - Fire Select - Change zoom level (in the radar) Start - Display main menu
Changelog Update 09/06/2011 (r40) - 1st stable version (no more crash) with sound and multithreaded loader.
Update 02/06/2011 - New planet texture loader system completely functional : -- All the planet's textures are loaded in a separate thread during the game. As planets are very far from each others, only one planet can be displayed in the same time. Reason to implement such a system is to not load all planets' textures needed in the sector at the begining of the game (the ram wouldn't be sufficient for this).
Update 29/05/2011 - Update of SquareForce: Chapter 1 Demo.
Chapter 1 Demo - Integrate a new part of the main story.
Le Prologue - Initital release.
