Template:Infobox 3DS homebrew

DSP Dump is a simple 3DS utility application to dump the DSP binary component needed for audio output in many 3DS homebrew applications.

Note: Obsoleted, you can use DSP1 as an alternative.

Installation

Available in 3DSX format.

User guide

Open the application using the Homebrew Launcher, or any other method using *hax 2.0+.

It will dump the needed file onto your SD card (/3ds/dspfirm.cdc), and you're ready. It only needs to be launched once.

FAQ

Q. What is this for?

A lot of homebrews will use DSP service for audio but to use it you'll need a DSP firmware dumped from a retail cartridge/eShop title. What this homebrew does is to extract this firmware and let you use it on 3DS/CIA homebrews or on NH 2.1 or lower.

You may consider using it if you want to use CIA homebrew. Chances are one of them could use DSP audio. Without dumping this file, you will not hear anything.
