Screenshotbmp is a screenshot capture plugin developed by members on the PSP Nikki forum. This is an update version by mascii with additional settings for the Analog Stick (A_UP, A_DOWN, A_LEFT, A_RIGHT).

Please note that this module is for taking screenshots in the XMB only and cannot be used for in-game screenshots.

Installation

The following versions are available:

  • screenshotbmp for 3.80M33 (for PSP-2000 only)
  • screenshotbmp for 3.80M33
  • screenshotpng

Copy the .prx file and png_conf.txt to ms0:/seplugins/.

Modify png_conf.txt to configure the default button setting. (Default to the Note button If the text file is not present or is invalid.)

Open ms0:/seplugins/vsh.txt and add the following line

ms0:/seplugins/screenshotpng.prx

(replace screenshotpng.prx with screenshotbmp.prx if you are using screenshotbmp)

Enable the plugin from the Recovery Menu and reset VSH for the changes to take effect.

Screenshots are saved to ms0:/PICTURE/.

Compatibility

Tested on PSP-3000 (6.60 PRO-C2).

Changelog

20080610

  • Added support for analog pad controls (refer to HotKey Setting.txt for details).
  • Fixed a bug that caused the PSP to crash when png_conf.txt was invalid.

Credits

The program is based on the Screenshot Module for DEVHOOK created by nekokabu and the screenshot feature of CWCHEAT by weltall. It was adapted for CFW by Hide.

The button mapping logic is based on joek2100's Music PRX, with contributions from Hide and mascii. The implementation was created using samples from PSPSDK. Special thanks to the original creators.
