cQuake is a DS/DSi Quake port uses the latest libnds, which allows it to be played with the extra speed of Cyclo iEvo's DSi mode and through the Sudokuhax exploit. The original project is aimed to drastically reduce the memory requiremments needed to play Quake on the DS.

This version includes a DSi mode fix for texture heavy areas that would cause the framerate to slow down.

Installation

Download contains the following versions.

  • cnquake-20130625 - Test version for direct DS to DS connections without an access point (see details).
  • cquake-20110828 - cquake.nds single player only (2022 test build update).
  • cquake-20080727 - Prebuilt cquake.nds and cquake_mp.nds (also contains a key mapping file, a modified version of .dat and .cfg files to reduce memory used).

To use, you will need the PAK files from either the registered or the shareware version of quake. They need to be put in a folder named ID1 in the root directory of your flash card.

Patch the nds file with the appropriate DLDI driver for your card, after that you can put it on your flash card.
