Pilota (French) is a simple flight simulator made in Lua. The name is derived from Pilotwings on SNES.
It was participated in the XtreamContest Summer Session 2011.
User guide
The menu displays various options (mission types, airplane, weather, and maps), each option has specific parameters that you can adjust.
Available missions include:
- Mission libre - Free mission.
- Fuite - Evading missiles chasing after us.
- Attaque - Shooting down airplanes with machine guns or missiles.
- Fuite et attaque - Doing both at the same time.
Each planes has different performances (2 civilian and 2 military).
- Cessna 172 Skyhawk.
- Airbus A400M.
- Rafale.
- Bombardier CRJ 200.
Controls
Menu:
Up/Down - Select different menu options
Left/Right - Adjust parameters within the selected option
Cross - Confirm select and start the game
In game:
D-Pad - Steer the airplane
Cross/Square - Increase/Decrease throttle
R - shoot (in the attack mission)
(Don't forget to throttle up to catch up with slower airplanes, like the Cessna.)
