Sonic 1/2 mobile apps decompilation ported to Wii U. Based on the decompilation project by Rubberduckycooly.
Installation
This decompilation requires game assets to run. You can get the official Android releases of Sonic 1 & Sonic 2 from:
- Sonic 1, Via Google Play
- Sonic 2, Via Google Play
- Sonic 1, Via Amazon
- Sonic 2, Via Amazon
- A tutorial for finding the game assets from the Android versions can be found here.
To install Sonic 1 and 2 (for Sonic 2, change the folder name to Sonic2):
- Copy RSDKv4.rpx to sd:/wiiu/apps/Sonic1/.
- Copy Data.rsdk to sd:/wiiu/apps/Sonic1/.
Note that it has no menu, but you can use mods (i.e. Sonic Forever, Sonic 2 Absolute) that would give a full menu.
To do so, place your mod in sd:wiiu/apps/Sonic1/mods/. You will also have to edit the mods/modconfig.ini file to enable it.
Controls
A/Y or Touch - Jump
D-Pad/Left Stick or Touch - Movement
Plus - Start/Pause, Back to menu
Home - Exit the app
