Fate/Extra CCC (フェイト／エクストラ CCC) is a RPG video game published by Marvelous released on March 28th, 2013 for the PlayStation Portable.

About the patch

Fate/Extra CCC English Patch is a complete translation of the game from Japanese. The patch goes above and beyond to deliver an authentic experience as if the game was released in English. It also fixes a couple of bugs present in the Japanese version.

Fate/Extra Perfect Patch+ is an updated version of the previously released Perfect Patch which includes further improvements and bug fixes reported by the community. The patch is for the US version of Fate/Extra. Perfect Patch adds subtitles to all the spoken battle lines, fixes lore translations to match the common Fate canon, subtitles the opening video, and fixes various translation issues from the original English release.

Both patches are compatible with PSP hardware, though the low-res ruby font is recommended when running on a physical PSP. "Force High Memory Layout" must be disabled in Recovery settings, otherwise the game will crash.

Option 1: Graphical Installer

Double-click "Patcher.exe"
Select patch variant:
- Click on "Near Side" for the "Fate/Extra Perfect Patch+" with settings optimized for the emulator and our preferred translation choices.
- Click on "Far Side" for the "Fate/Extra CCC English Patch" with settings optimized for the emulator and our preferred translation choices.
- Click on top-left flower icon for the "Fate/Extra Perfect Patch+" if you want to configure settings or will be playing on a PSP / Vita.
- Click on top-right flower icon for the "Fate/Extra CCC English Patch" if you want to configure settings or will be playing on a PSP / Vita.
If selected patch with configurable settings:
- Nero's use of "Praetor" can be changed to "Maestro" by selecting the "Use Maestro" checkbox.
- "Meltlilith" can be changed to "Meltryllis" by selecting the "Use Meltryllis" checkbox. This option appears only when patching Fate/Extra CCC.
- In order to play on a physical PSP, it is recommended to select "Use low-res ruby font" in order to have a font optimized for low resolution.
- Click "Select ISO," then navigate to the unpatched ISO and select it.
- When completed, the ISO will appear next to "Patcher.exe" as "extra-patched.iso" or "ccc-patched.iso" depending on the selected patch. You can now close the patcher window.

Option 2: Command-line Installer

Inside the "res/patch" folder, find the file called:
- "Drag and drop Fate Extra US ISO on me.bat" if patching Fate/Extra US ISO
- "Drag and drop Fate Extra CCC ISO on me.bat" if patching Fate/Extra CCC ISO
As the file commands, drag and drop the unpatched ISO onto the bat file.
A command prompt will open up. Select any desired features:
- Nero's use of "Praetor" can be changed to "Maestro" by typing 'Y' when prompted. Otherwise, type 'N'.
- "Meltlilith" can be changed to "Meltryllis" by typing 'Y' when prompted. Otherwise, type 'N'. This option appears only when patching Fate/Extra CCC.
- In order to play on a physical PSP, it is recommended to select "Use low-res ruby font" in order to have a font optimized for low resolution. Type 'Y' to use the low-res font, otherwise select 'N'.
When completed, the ISO will appear in this folder as "extra-patched.iso" or "ccc-patched.iso" depending on the selected patch.

Option 3: Unix/Mac

Note: If the Unix executable doesn't work on your system then please compile the patcher manually using code and instructions from here: https://kotcrab.com/link/ccc-patcher-source-code

Open up a terminal shell, navigate to the extracted Fate patch folder, then enter the "res/patch" folder.
Run "patch-extra.sh" or "patch-ccc.sh" and pass path of your original copy of the Fate/Extra US ISO or Fate/Extra CCC ISO as an argument and make the script executable using chmod.
- Example (Fate/Extra): "chmod +x ./patch-extra.sh && ./patch-extra.sh /home/user/games/PSP/fate-extra-original.iso"
- Example (Fate/Extra CCC): "chmod +x ./patch-ccc.sh && ./patch-ccc.sh /home/user/games/PSP/fate-extra-ccc-original.iso"
