Yarudora Portable: Sampaguita (やるドラポータブル サンパギータ) is a Visual Novel video game published by Sony released on July 28th, 2005 for the PlayStation Portable.
Project History
The project was originally initiated alongside Double Cast and Sampaguita back in the mid-2010s. It was put on hold for several years before being revisited with a script rewrite in mid-2023.
The release is currently at version 0.95. Playtesters have been able to access all endings, and any bugs encountered were addressed and resolved. The only remaining task is the audio cues during the endings. If any issues are encountered while playing the game, it is encouraged to report them.
Content Warning:
In comparison to other games in the series, it is significantly lighter. The violence is quite mild at best. The main heroine, Maria, is objectified by the protagonist. He has the ability to easily harass her at the start of the game. In certain scenes, she is hit by a male character. Given her status as a distressed minority, this could make the game somewhat disturbing for some players who are trying to create a safe space for themselves, their friends, and their audience.
The game delves into a lot of language, trivia, and caricatures of people from the Philippines, so some parts could be perceived as sensationalist, stereotypical, and slightly racist or microaggressive. For instance, there’s a segment where the protagonist is rewarded for ridiculing Maria when she tries to teach him different words in Tagalog. This could be seen as offensive.
Patching Instructions
- The patch is distributed in xdelta format.
- To patch using the batch file just drop the original bin file on to it.
- If needed, the patch itself is in patch_data. You can apply the patch with either xdelta UI (Win), Delta Patcher (Win/Linux) or MultiPatch (macOS).

- Triangle: Tap to Skip all, Hold to Skip previously read
