This mod enhances the music quality in the Switch releases of Dragon Quest I, II, and III by replacing the original low-quality tracks with higher-quality versions sourced from the iOS/Android ports.
While the tracks remain essentially the same, they now have a significantly higher bitrate: 160kbps compared to the Switch's 48kbps. This improvement results in a very noticeable difference in quality. The mod should be compatible with both original hardware and emulation.
Also available is the Python script used to convert pcm wavs into a compatible format (credits to @masagrator for the initial implementation). This script can be used to mod your own music into the game, for example a potential orchestral mod.
Installation
Place the romfs folder into atmosphere/contents/<TITLEID>/.
