This mod enhances the music quality in the Switch releases of Dragon Quest I, II, and III by replacing the original low-quality tracks with higher-quality versions sourced from the iOS/Android ports.
While the tracks remain essentially the same, they now have a significantly higher bitrate: 160kbps compared to the Switch's 48kbps. This improvement results in a very noticeable difference in quality. The mod should be compatible with both original hardware and emulation.
Additionally, I'm attaching the Python script I utilized to convert PCM WAVs into a format compatible with the game (a big thank you to @masagrator for the initial implementation!). This script can be employed to integrate your own music into the game, potentially paving the way for an orchestral mod.
