Higher or Lower is a homebrew game for the PSP based on the popular game show (called Play Your Cards Right in UK). The game was written in a few hours and it has no sound and score saving.
Made by Guyfawkes for the GBAX 2005 Coding Competition.
User guide
In Higher or Lower, you have to bet on if the following card will be an higher or lower value than the current card.
You can bet as much or as little as you want, if you correctly guess you win double the money back, if you incorrectly guess or the following card matches the current card you loose your bet.
You continue betting until you reach the end of the run of cards and you will then get a results screen with the final total you have won and some other stats.
After this screen if you have made the high score you will be able to enter your name.
Controls
D-Pad - Choose Higher/Lower, Increase/Decrease bet
Square - Decide Higher/Lower, Increase/Decrease bet by 10, Confirm (menus)
Circle - Increase or Decrease bet by 50, Cancel (menus)
Triangle - Increase or Decrease bet by half
Square - Increase or Decrease bet by full amount
Start - Accept name (name entry screen)
Home - Exit game
