Yo-kai Watch fans are aware that Yo-kai Watch Blasters 2, also known as Yo-kai Watch Busters 2, has never been released outside of Japan. However, a fan translation mod has been created to address this issue. The mod is designed to translate the entire game into English for both Sword and Magnum versions, enabling fans in the western world to experience this hidden gem of a game.

Installation

To install the Yo-kai Watch Blasters 2 fan translation mod, make sure you have the official updated game version 1.5 for both Sword and Magnum. The installation process is straightforward and relies on Luma and LayeredFS. Simply move the supplied "00040000001C9C00" folder into the "titles" folder in your Luma folder and drop the full folder in. Note that the mod also works on emulators, but the correct install path may differ.

The "00040000001C9C00" folder provided in the mod download is for the Magnum version of the game. If you want to install the mod for the Sword version, rename the folder ID to "00040000001C9400."

When updating the mod to a newer version, it's advisable to delete all the old files to avoid errors or data corruption. Just delete the entire old "00040000001C9C00" or "00040000001C9400" folder and move the new version's folder in its place.

The translation project is still ongoing, with most backend translations completed, but the main story translation still in progress. The team is taking their time to perfect each scene for the best possible quality.
