The Mario Kart Wii Competition Patcher enables you to download and play competitions from Wiimmfi.

How to get competitions?

Here is how you can get competitions:

For Wii:

  1. Start the original game (from disc or USB) that is not Wiimmfi-patched.
  2. Go to Settings -> Nintendo WFC Connection -> Message Service and unsubscribe and then subscribe to the service. If the service is not enabled, activate it. If you encounter error 109139, ensure WC24 is enabled in the Wii settings.
  3. Run the competition patcher.

Note: If you want to receive announcement letters on your message board, you need to follow step 2.

You need to use a Wiimmfi-patched ISO or CTGP with disabled CTs and no SD card savegame to receive competitions. The Auto Wiimmfi Patcher (which patches a disc on the fly) may work if you use version v0.5 or higher, but it has not been tested yet.

If you have not received the competition after 12 hours even though your Wii has been in standby (yellow LED), you can try following the above steps again and press "1" when the patcher finishes. This makes the Wii immediately check for a new competition. However, note that this may break automatic standby checks for new competitions.

For WiiU:

The WiiU does not have a WiiConnect24 download manager, so a permanent patch for automatic downloads is not possible. You need to run the downloader app every time you want to check for a new competition. Download the app to your SD card and run it to download the current competition to your savegame.

Note that the effects of the patcher are reset when you leave the vWii, so you need to run it every time.

Has the patch been successful?

To check whether your Wii has requested a competition, please enter your Wii friend code here.
