The Homebrew Browser is an application that allows you to easily download and manage homebrew applications and games directly from your Wii, without the need for an SD card or a computer. It provides a simple, user-friendly interface to browse and download the latest homebrew software, as well as allowing you to delete any unwanted applications. It eliminates the need to deal with dead links, extract files, or check for missing files such as icon.png and meta.xml in the zip file.

Note: This application has been made redundant by Open Shop Channel. Open Shop Channel has the same features as this application plus more, or with more bug fixes. This application should only be used if there is a special reason to (e.g. if Open Shop Channel is unstable or has more requirements).

Features

• One click download/(un)install/update for each homebrew application.
• Auto updating when your Homebrew Browser version is out of date.

Installation

To use the Homebrew Browser, copy the homebrew_browser folder to the apps folder on your SD or USB device.

If the apps directory does not exist, create it on the root of your SD or USB device.

Make sure that the write-protect switch on your SD or USB device is turned off.

Launch the Homebrew Browser using the Homebrew Channel.

User guide

Supports the Wiimote, nunchuck and Gamecube controller.

Green Tick - You have the latest version of that homebrew application installed.

Yellow Question Mark - You might not have the latest version of that homebrew application installed.

Controls

When HBB starts (Wiimote or Classic Controller):

A - Accept HBB update

B - Cancel download/extracting images on first run

Home - Return to loader

1 (or Y) - Work offline

2 (or X) - Revert to CodeMii repository

GUI (Wiimote or Classic Controller):

Aim - Move pointer

B (or C) - Hold and move Wiimote down/up to scroll through list

A - Click buttons

B - Cancel download/extract/delete

D-Pad Left/Right - Previous/Next category

D-Pad Up/Down - Scroll up and down the list slowly

Minus/Plus (or L/R) - Remove / Add application to queue

Home - Menu, Hold to return to loader
