Gunnar Hero is a guitar hero rhythm game. The main feature of Gunnar Hero is being able to add your own songs to the homebrew, according to the developers it is compatible with songs from freetar.net.

This is an entry from the Neo Summer Coding Compo 2007 (PSP Games, 5th place).

Features - Supporting keyboard remapping. - Highscores. - Points multipliers. - Support for multiple plays per session. - Add and play your own song.

Installation To install this game, copy the gunnarhero folder to the /PSP/GAME/ folder on your PSP.

Or for Custom Firmware users, copy to /PSP/GAME150/.

Note: You will need at least one song. This bundle does not include any songs, but you can use any songs from freetar.net.

To add your own song, put your song's .sng and .mp3 file to the song directory under /PSP/GAME/gunnarhero/song/.

User guide Gunnar the Sheep and his friends Dagros the Cow and Anders the Evil Duck were out in a meadow one day, when they heard a rather large banging sound inside the hayshed. They ran towards the shed and were taken in by some rather large hands then given some musical instruments.

You are Gunnar, the objective of this game is to get as many points as you can playing to random songs.

You must strum on the beat with D-pad down to score points (default keymaps below).

Controls Square - Green Circle - Blue Cross - Red Down - Strum Analog stick - Strum L-Trigger - Orange R-Trigger - Yellow Select - Take a picture! Give it to your friends Start - Pause

Changelog v0.20 August 20, 2007 - Nicer text for list of songs (based on the filename instead of the XML). - Transparent menu background. - Targa based vid capturing. - High scores are now saved, so beat your high score. - Multipliers are based on whether there are active notes or active. sparks. If not, the multiplier is reset to 1. - Replay now reset properly, so score is not cumulative. - Nicer sustain bars (but still no points for sustains). - Added intro keymap instructions.

v0.19 April 7, 2007 - Denser particle effects - New version of the stage with ground and sky. - New button textures for that 3D feel. - New high score screen now looks correct. - High scores almost ready to be saved.

v0.18 April 2, 2007 - Analog stick strumming with up and down motion. - Sparks particle effect on correct note. - Found crash bug in MP3 player. - No longer loops music inappropriately. - Now pause menu choice to exit song behaves correctly. - Now you can start new songs. - New high score screen still not done. - Now includes a rough Linux makefile. - Shows an error screen if you have no songs.

v0.13 March 19, 2007 - Doesn't crash when starting the previously posted song packs. - Exits instead of crashing at the end of the song (usually). - Updated stage texture (speakers are now better textured). - Somewhat updated cameras (still could use more work).
