This is an improved version of Weltall's Charge Control plugin.

It allows you to manage when your PSP charges based on the battery level. If you want to use your PSP while connected to AC power without worrying about battery wear, this plugin is for you. It prevents charging until the battery level drops below a specified percentage.

Installation

Set the desired battery percentages in ccp_conf.txt.

Place ccp_conf.txt and charge_ctrl_plus.prx in the seplugins folder.

Open vsh.txt and/or game.txt in ms0:/seplugins/ (create the text files if they don't already exist).

Then add the following line to the text files:

ms0:/seplugins/charge_ctrl.prx

Enable the plugin from the Recovery Menu and reset VSH for the changes to take effect.

ccp_conf.txt format

  • Example 1 - To start charging when below 20%, write 20
  • Example 2 - To stop charging when above 80%, write 101|80 (v02+)
  • Example 3 - To start charging when below 10% and stop charging when above 75%, write 10|75 (v02+)

Notes

  • If ccp_conf.txt is missing, the plugin will not automatically manage charging. It is recommended to use the provided configuration file.
  • Once you toggle charging on or off, the setting will remain in effect until the PSP goes into sleep mode or is turned off.
