GSQ, short for God Save the Queen, is an adaptation of 8-Queens puzzle for the Game Boy Color.

User guide

The 8-Queens puzzle involves using eight chess Queens, each placed on an 8x8 chessboard in such a way that no two Queens threaten each other, meaning they can't be in the same row, column, or diagonal line.

If you manage to place all eight Queens on the board without any threats, you've successfully cleared the puzzle. Reference materials suggest there are 12 basic solutions when excluding patterns that result from flipping or rotating the board.

There's no time limit, so you can take your time to think.

Controls

D-Pad - Move the cursor

A - Place/Remove a Queen

Start - Reset the game
