GBiine is a Game boy emulator for the Wii U. Port of Heig-Boy Game Boy Classic emulator[1].

Installation

Copy the wiiu folder to the root of the SD card.

  • sd:/wiiu/apps/gbiine/gbiine.elf
  • sd:/wiiu/apps/gbiine/meta.xml
  • sd:/wiiu/apps/gbiine/icon.png

File path for roms is sd:/roms/gb/.

User guide

Status:

  • No sound.
  • No savestates.
  • No colorized palette.
  • No screen modes.
  • Some games are not compatible.

Controls

Menu:

D-Pad Up/Down - Select rom

L/R - Page down/up

A - Launch rom

Home - Exit emulator

In game:

D-Pad - Move

A/Y - B

B - A

Home - Back to menu

  • Fixed some endianness problems, more compatible. (but some games have glitches now, like donkey kong or street fighter.)

v2 2016/03/26

  • Now compiled for Homebrew Launcher.
  • Games can save (SRAM, no real time save yet).
  • Return to game menu pressing Home button.
  • Confirmed that also works on 5.4.

v1 2016/03/03

  • First version, tested on 5.3.2.
  • This version is not compatible with homebrew launcher, you'll need to launch loadiine 4 kernel xploit before launch the emu.
