Abu Simbel Profanation Deluxe is a fantastic fan-made version of the classic Spectrum platformer developed by Dinamic. You play as Johnny Jones, an adventurous explorer who ventures into a forbidden Egyptian temple with the goal of breaking the powerful curse of Ramses II.
Despite his appearance as a purple blob with eyes and legs, Johnny is equipped to navigate the temple with his ability to jump and dodge obstacles. The game is challenging and requires precise dexterity to avoid deadly drops of acid. The difficulty level is comparable to the final levels of "Pitfall: A Mayan Adventure".
The game features crisp and colorful graphics and smooth animations, making it accessible to a new generation of PC gamers. With 45 screens to conquer, players will find themselves pulled into the game and eager for "just one more try".
The developer of this remake aimed to stay true to the original game while improving the graphics, sound, and music. The result is a highly recommended experience for those who enjoy a challenge. However, new players should be warned, the game's difficulty level may prove challenging.
