ChimeraSNES is a fork of the classic and popular SNES emulator Snes9x from circa 2005, much like snes9x2005. It has sound quality close to that of snes9x2005+ but is about as fast as snes9x2005 and comes preconfigured for slower systems.
Description
I recently acquired a PSVita and tried to run some SNES games but found the performance lacking.
So, I decided to add some touches to a snes9x-based libretro core that I was working on back in 2018 but never released and it's working quite well. As an example, I get about 59fps on Yoshi's Island title screen (auto frameskipping and other such settings come preconfigured in this core).
Installation
Copy chimerasnes_libretro.self from the appropriate folder (piglet or vita2d; if you don't know which to use, go for vita2d first) to /ux0:/app/RETROVITA and chimerasnes_libretro.info to /ux0:/app/RETROVITA/info.
