Dzzee is a great example of a simple but graphically impressive game that is fun to play. The 3DS Homebrew port of Dzzee is also available as well.
It looks sort of like Tempest, and gameplay is simple: Stay on the lines and avoid the gaps. The whole structure rotates around and you need to move up and down on the lines to avoid those gaps.
How To Play Dzzee
Control the white rectangle with the UP and DOWN arrow keys. Stay on the lanes, avoid the gaps. Survive longest and retain health points for high score.
