PSP Filer incorporates a text viewer, apart from a hexadecimal viewer, a JPEG and PNG viewer. Although it has many options for more advanced users (such as Hacker mode to play Flash by hand), it can be used as a file explorer or UMD's.
It indicates the free space in the Flash, you can see the content of ISO/CSO/ZIP/RAR files. There is also a new function of binary editor.
Installation Note that files have to be no larger than 20Mb (normal PSP) or 50Mb (PSP Slim), but it is ideal, for example, to transfer an MP3 from one Memory Stick to another without having a PC at hand.
You will need: - A PSP, Fat or slim with CF. - PSP Filer. - A destination Memory Stick and another from where you are going to get the file (the file can not weight more than 50MB since that is the most that the RAMDISK supports).
Run the PSP Filer from the Games Menu.
Select the file (a song for example) that you want to transfer to the other Memory Stick. Press Cross in the file that you are going to transfer.
Press Cross, then Right for another window to show up. Press Triangle to save the file in the RAMDISK. The file would have been copied to the RAMDISK of the PSP at that point.
Take out the Memory Stick and put the destination Memory Stick. Press Start until it says RAMDISK.
Press Cross in the file that is already recorded in the RAMDISK. Then select Circle and choose the destination. Lastly, press Square.
Changelog v6.6 - Fix a bug that doesn't exactly calculate the file size. - Fixed a bug in the player audio. - The PSP does not crash upon the launch of the UMD. - Added playing time in the music player. - Fixed several bugs.
