Get ready for the ultimate prehistoric racing experience with Cro-Mag Rally, now available on the Nintendo 3DS. This port, based on Jorio's excellent adaptation, brings back the retro excitement of Pangea Software's classic racing game. If you’re a fan of Mario Kart-style games, you're in for a treat!

About Cro-Mag Rally

In Cro-Mag Rally, you take on the role of Brog, a speed-hungry caveman racing through the Stone, Bronze, and Iron Ages. You'll pilot a variety of primitive vehicles like the Geode Cruiser, Bone Buggy, Logmobile, and even the Trojan Horse. To dominate your opponents, Brog is equipped with an array of prehistoric weapons, including Bone Bombs, Chinese Bottle Rockets, and the Heat-Seeking Homing Pigeons.

Originally released in 2000 by Pangea Software as a Mac-exclusive, Cro-Mag Rally became a staple for Mac users and was even bundled with some systems at the time.

About This Port

This version is a faithful port of the original OS 9 release, designed to give modern gamers the best possible Cro-Mag Rally experience. It not only fixes bugs that may have affected gameplay but also introduces new features that stay true to the spirit of the original game.

Nintendo 3DS Controls

Note

DSP firmware must be present at sdmc:/3ds/dspfirm.cdc. This can be obtained by using Luma3DS - select "Miscellaneous options..." in the Rosalina menu then "Dump DSP firmware" from there. If running on an emulator, you can simply copy an empty file named dspfirm.cdc to a folder named 3ds on your virtual SD card.
