This project aims to add comprehensive support for same-sex marriage in Fire Emblem: Awakening, allowing characters of the same sex to achieve S support, have children if linked to a second generation character, and introducing new straight and platonic supports.
The project also attempts to include new support conversations and in-chapter cutscenes for these options, with ongoing improvements towards accurately representing same-sex marriages within the game.
Installation
On 3DS
Download and extract the Gay Awakening hack folder, navigate to the Luma folder and locate the text file "Region and Game List.txt" to determine your Awakening region code (00040000000A0500 for USA, 000400000009F100 for EUR).
On your SD card, open the Luma folder, create a "titles" folder, and copy the appropriate region folder into it. The structure should be sd:/Luma/titles/00040000000A0500 or 000400000009F100.
Make sure Luma game patching is enabled (hold Select on boot to access Luma3DS's config menu).
Upon launching Awakening, the hack will be active. You can toggle game patching as needed, but be cautious when removing the hack if non-canon supports are unlocked on your save file.
On Citra
Download and extract the Gay Awakening hack folder, navigate to the Luma folder and locate the text file "Region and Game List.txt" to determine your Awakening region code (00040000000A0500 for USA, 000400000009F100 for EUR).
If you haven't added Awakening to Citra, do so via "Add New Game Directory" and select your ROM folder. Right-click on the game in Citra and choose "Open Mods Location".
Copy the downloaded romfs folder into the corresponding Citra mods folder, located in AppData/Roaming/Citra/load/mods/00040000000A0500 or 000400000009F100.
Notes
Normally, children of same-sex parents won't show up as siblings. You can fix that through some quick save editing, or simply use Silent Hell's cheat plugin if you have the US version.

- All characters except the Morgans (for fear of messing up their paralogue) given functional male and female reclass options to pass down to potential children.
- @TildeHat's file which unlocks every support in the support log in "extras" and puts in pretty much every support option conceivable-- useful for easily viewing conversations.
- Text and dialogue changed in many places to either appropriately gender Robin or refer to parents in a gender neutral sense. Note that this is far from completely fixing everywhere the game may misgender characters.
