Bombs Away!! is a little platformer for the Nintendo Gameboy Advance.

It was developed for the GBADEV.ORG Compo 2003.

Features

  • 21 levels including 4 bonus levels.
  • End of game sequence.
  • Hiscore Table (saved to SRAM).
  • Music and Sound Effects (using the Krawall Free SDK).
  • Cheat mode.

User guide

Gameplay

The aim of the game is to collect all the bombs before the timer runs out, you receive a time bonus at the end of each level. The following pickups are found in the game:

  • Bomb - 200 points.
  • Coin - 500 points.
  • Cherry - 1000 points.
  • Strawberry - 2000 points.
  • Heart - 1 up, gain a life.
  • Skull - Death, lose a life.
  • HiJump - HiJump powerup, increases your jump height for one jump.

Cheats

To enable/ disable the cheat mode, go to the credits screen and press UP, B, L, DOWN, B, R.

With the cheat mode enabled you can skip levels using L and R.

If you gain a hiscore with the cheat mode enabled then your name will be replaced with ""!!!"".

Controls

D-Pad - Move left/right

A - Jump, High jump

Start - Pause/Resume
