ShallowSea is a comprehensive custom firmware (CFW) package designed for the Nintendo Switch with Atmosphere (fss0 version). It is compatible with both erista (v1) and mariko (v2) models, but only unpatched v1 consoles can use fusee-gelee, while v1 patched or v2 consoles require a modchip. You can obtain the rcmloader package here and Switch firmware (system firmware) here.

Notes
- To use ShallowSea in English, download the "switch English extra package.rar" from the provided link and replace it every time you update ShallowSea-ams.
- To prevent system crashes from turning on too many sysmodules, I have disabled them by default since v1.4.2. You can toggle them using Tesla menu or Hekate toolbox.
- Baidunetdisk link is no longer updated.
Usage
Installing or Updating the Atmosphere aio-package
- Get the ShallowSea aio package "Shalloesea-ams.zip" and "switch English extra package.zip" from here.
- Remove all folders on your SD card except for "Nintendo", "emuiibo", "emuMMC", "BCAT", "JKSV", "warmboot_mariko", and "license.dat". Drag and drop the contents of the aio package onto the SD card, replacing any existing files.
- Extract the contents of "switch English extra package.rar" directly onto the root of the SD card, replacing any existing files.
=Updating Atmosphere using the ShallowSea-updater aio-package
To run the app in the album.
To start, you can inject the payload.bin file in two ways: either use TegraRcmGUI Switch to inject the file included in the releases, or use rcmloader (blue light) to inject the file after updating the rcmloader file. Once this is done, enter the hekate menu and, if you're hacking your switch for the first time, it's recommended that you create an emuMMC/emunand. Next, press "launch" and select "CFW Atmosphere" if you're using Atmosphere or "CFW SXOS" if you're using SXOS. The emuMMC/emunand will automatically launch if you have one.
With modchip users, you simply launch the app from the hekate menu. If this is your first time hacking your switch, it's recommended that you create an emuMMC/emunand. Once you're in the hekate menu, press "launch" and then select "CFW Atmosphere" if you're using Atmosphere, or "CFW SXOS" if you're using SXOS. If you have an emuMMC/emunand, it will be launched automatically.
If you plan to use CFW on sysnand for online use
Using CFW to go online, especially on Nintendo Switch online, may result in a ban. Playing pirated games online will result in a ban. To safely use Shallowsea, create an emunand and launch it with "CFW Atmosphere (fss0)." To remove the ban protection and hack sysnand to go online, follow these steps:
- Delete "atmosphere/hosts/sysnand.txt."
- Edit "exosphere.ini" using Notepad++ and change the line "blank_prodinfo_sysmmc" from 1 to 0.
- Launch the hacked sysnand by selecting "CFW Sysnand AMS," which will disable the sigpatches.
