Kobo Deluxe is a 3rd person scrolling 2D shooter with a simple and responsive control system - which is need to tackle the tons of enemy ships that shoot, chase, circle around shooting, or even launch other ships, while attempting to destroy the labyrinth shaped bases. There are fifty action packed levels with smoothly increasing difficulty, and different combinations of enemies that require different tactics to be dealt with successfully.

Quoting the Kobo Deluxe official site, Kobo Deluxe is an enhanced version of Akira Higuchi's game XKobo for Un*x systems with X11. XKobo was a fastpaced multiway scrolling shoot-em-up. It was simple but clever and very addictive.
Kobo Deluxe adds sound, smoother animation, high resolution support, OpenGL acceleration (optional), an intuitive menu driven user interface, joystick support and other features. Recent versions also add a number of alternative skill levels with slightly modernized gameplay. Kobo Deluxe uses SDL for graphics, sound and input, which makes it possible to build and run the game on pretty much anything. That includes a Nintendo Wii :)

Running
Make sure that the SD card where kobodl-0.5.1-whiite is installed is inserted into the front SD card slot of the Wii. Start the Homebrew Channel, locate the Kobo Deluxe entry and click on its icon using the Nintendo Wii Remote, then click on the Load button.
Kobo Deluxe will start after a few seconds.
Important Cautions
- DO NOT REMOVE THE SD CARD WHILE PLAYING KOBO DELUXE.
- ALWAYS EXIT CLEANLY KOBO DELUXE, USING THE "QUIT KOBO DELUXE" MENU OPTION.
The SD card is mounted for reading and writing while the game is running. Physically removing the SD card or forcibly turning off the Wii can potentially corrupt the filesystem of the SD card.
