This is a simple romFS mod for MH4U to swap the names of Rare Steak and Well-done Steak, and its description to be, Provides a small boost to your Stamina. This one's tough and chewy.
This is for people who are bothered by the fact that Monster Hunter games consider well-done steak better than rare steak.
Installation
This is currently only compatible with MH4U USA with the v1.1 update.
Ensure the MH4U 1.1 update is installed in Citra:
- Right-click MH4U in Citra and choose Dump RomFS (this may take a while).
- After dumping the base game and 1.1 update directories should open. In the update (0004000E00126300) directory navigate to /eng/data/ and locate core_common.arc.
- Use beat (included) to apply the BPS patch to core_common.arc and generate a patched core_common.arc.
- Right-click MH4U in Citra and choose Open Mods Location.
- Create romfs+eng+data directories, to end up with the following path in the mods location: romfs/eng/data/.
- Copy the patched core_common.arc file to this directory.
You can delete the dumped romFS files afterwards to free up space. The main game romFS is ~2.5GB.
