Crossy Road Clone Beta for the Playstation Vita (VitaHot)
Changelog
v0.70
- Fixed issues with the player getting stuck on a log, or slipping off a log, or falling through a log.
- Added in a new way to use and deploy powerups which are now done at a button press that'll drop the powerup into the map just ahead of the player.
- Increased the movement speed of the player.
- Fixed the multiple-collect bug on cois.
- Improved the movement methods to give the player more freedom when moving.
- Fixed the "get stuck in the bottom corner of the map" bug.
- Fixed the "infinite eagle attacks" glitch.
- Added logic to prevent the catapult from tossing the player into a tree.
- Added explanations and user guides into the different menu elements where necessary.
- Stopped Eagle from attacking the player while the player is on a log.
- Added missing UI interaction sounds.
- Put in a pattern to pre-populate lines so that things don't appear to "just start" when the player arrives.
- Tweaked up line timing and added random gaps in traffic/logs.
- Added ability to splat onto the side of vehicles like in the original game (with a funny sound also!).
- Added a difficulty gradient into the game so that it starts off easy and will gradually get more difficult.
v0.65
- Game boots straight in past the Main Menu, with a form akin to the original Crossy Road, getting you straight into the action, faster!
- Over a dozen characters to unlock.
- Powerups to assist in your playthrough and add to the fun!
- Polished menus and UI, featuring a powerup select menu, as well as a prize machine by and which you can cheaply obtain powerups, unlock new characters, or even get cash rewards.
- Powerups are: Catapult, to fling you forward 7 lines, Ghost: which allows you to pass through cars, Hamster Ball: Bounces you back if you get hurt, and Slow Time: which slows time to half speed making you into a super-chicken!
- Options menu: one of the most requested things for this game, you have it now! You can turn things on and off, or change the screen orientation!
- Improved movement and hit checking.
- Ability to play in landscape, or even in portrait left/right, a novel and interesting addition for the Vita!
- Sounds! We've got sounds now!
- Re-balanced money/rewards system with a focus on rewarding game progress instead of trying to milk cash out of the player.
- Tons of bugs squashed.
- Graphical and lighting improvements, and still rocking a silky 60fps.
v0.24 beta
- First Release.
