The homebrew was released for the FuHEN Homebrew Contest (Port, 3rd place).

Installation

Supported versions

You must own a legal copy Gone Home for Windows running the latest game patch to play Gone Home for PlayStation Vita. Official console versions and versions for Mac/Linux are sadly not supported at this time.

Ensure your PC has 4 GB free, and your Vita has 800 MB free before beginning.

Officially supported versions are:

How to install

Download the VPK and install it. Once installed, navigate to ux0:app/GNHM00451/Media/StreamingAssets and extract the .zip file included to any location with over 4 GB of free storage. Once extraction is completed, you can remove the .zip file safely to free up space, as it is no longer needed.

Navigate to the directory your PC copy of Gone Home is installed to. Once there, copy all files in the directory and paste them into the input folder located in the extracted patcher directory. Do not copy the game folder itself.

(Note for owners of the Epic Games Store version: This includes the .egstore folder, which must be copied for authentication to succeed.)

Run the patcher for the version of Gone Home you provided in Step 2. For example, if you provided the files from a Steam install, run "patch_steam.bat".

Wait for patching to complete. This may take a while, depending on the speed of your CPU, storage and memory. Once started, do not quit the patcher until you are told it is safe to do so. Doing so will result in an incomplete patch. If error messages appear, try again after double checking the directory structure of input or repeat Step 2.

Once the patch is finished, navigate to ux0:app/GNHM00451. Copy the contents of the "GNHM00451_patched" folder in your patcher directory and paste them into the "GNHM00451" directory. When prompted, replace all files.

Open Gone Home from the LiveArea.

About The Game

June 7th, 1995. 1:15 AM

You arrive home after a year abroad. You expect your family to greet you, but the house is empty. Something's not right. Where is everyone? And what's happened here? Unravel the mystery for yourself in Gone Home, a story exploration game from The Fullbright Company.

Gone Home is an interactive exploration simulator. Interrogate every detail of a seemingly normal house to discover the story of the people who live there. Open any drawer and door. Pick up objects and examine them to discover clues. Uncover the events of one family's lives by investigating what they've left behind.

Go Home Again.

Notes

It is recommended to apply a full overclock to both CPU and GPU for an optimal play experience. Players who opt to run at standard clocks are recommended to enable "Ultra Performance Mode", disable "Framerate Limit" and Vsync, along with setting "Internal Resolution" to "Low".

Please note that Gone Home for PlayStation Vita only supports English.
