Cargame is a Lua-based homebrew developed by dalejrrocks for the PSP News & Lik Sang 15 Day Lua Coding Comp.
It is a button masher/reaction/endurance/racing type game.
User guide
After starting Cargame, navigate the menu using the Analog and the Cross button. You can customize the settings in the options menu.
To set player controls, activate the desired control with the Select button and then press the desired button. Save changes by clicking "Save Settings" or revert to defaults if preferred. To load settings for editing, click "Load Settings".
Select "New Game" to begin, allowing both player 1 and player 2 to choose cars using the Cross button. Both players can pick another car at the confirmation screen. Once both players have made and confirmed their choices, the race will start.
Player 1 can move forward by tapping the Triangle button and shift gears with the R button after the light turns green. The blue arrow indicates when to shift gears, and the current score and gear are displayed in the upper right corner.
Player 2 can move forward by tapping the Up button and shift gears with the L button. The red arrow indicates when to shift gears, and the current score and gear are displayed in the upper left corner.
Each player earns one point for racing through each map. The first player to reach 20 points wins.
To exit the game at any time, press the Start button.
